Dr. Phionah Namuliira supports the President in strategy, operations, and partnerships, and ensures that BTD Group’s programs, projects, and engagement activities run effectively and align with its mission. She strongly believes that when informed citizens align their daily actions with national goals, Uganda can unlock its full potential and ensure that no one is left behind.
Dr. Namuliira is a Development Economist and Research Fellow at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), Makerere University. She is passionate about advancing Uganda’s development through evidence-based policy, citizen engagement, and inclusive economic transformation. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Makerere University. Her work focuses on gender, labour markets, skills development, health, and poverty, supporting national priorities under Uganda’s Vision 2040, the National Development Plans, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
